Discover the strength of the magic within YOU in acro camp! Learn the foundational skills of acro to safely participate and flow smoothly & confidently from trick to trick. Uncover the acrobatic gifts within yourself by combining and reinforcing your developing acro skills in this magnificent camp experience. Specific acro skills will be recommended by the instructor individually to nurture each performer’s competency safely and at an appropriate level based on age/ability. Increase flexibility, build strength, and unleash your inner daredevil as you fully explore the spectacular world of acrobatics! Includes themed crafts, snack time, and showcase.

Fliptastic! It’s time for acro! The day begins with warm up including cardio, conditioning, and flexibility exercises. Experience 3 days of an in-depth workshop that takes a deep dive into different types of acro skills each day. Work on balancing skills such as elbow stands, chest stands, handstands, and cartwheels before moving on to power tumbling skills such as round offs, hand springs, and aerials. Continue to develop your strength and flexibility as you work on leg extensions, leg hold turns, scorpions, needles, and more! Specific acro skills will be recommended by the instructor to nurture each performer’s competency safely and at an appropriate level based on age/ability. Learn acro sequences that connect one skill to the next in an artistic, fluid, and effortless way to showcase your best skills!

Spend a week as royalty! Dancers dance to fairytale music, play dress-up, make royal crafts, and invent their own happy ending while learning all the basics of ballet, tap, & jazz. Each dancer becomes a true dancing princess or prince by the end of the week. You are cordially invited to a special royal performance on the last day of camp!

Experience 5 days of jam-packed classes showcasing a variety of master artists teaching multiple genres of dance! Each day begins with a warm up focusing on core work, stretching, and strengthening the dancer. This centers & aligns the body, building the dancer’s endurance and body mindfulness. The day continues with ballet, street jazz, contemporary, improvisation, hip hop, jazz, musical theater, jumps & turns, modern, tap, and more! Want to really evolve into the best dancer you can be? Grab your best animal outfit and join our imagination safari through ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. You’ll be roaring with laughter and nonstop fun as you dance, play games, and make crafts all while channeling your inner party animal! A special, WILD performance will be held on the last day of camp. It’s going to be fierce! Rawr!

Channel your inner popstar as you learn the trendiest dances in this Tik Tok inspired camp! Groove in hip hop, street jazz, and contemporary like your favorite Tik Tok stars. The week blends individual creative freedom and focuses on video-based choreography while fusing multiple dance styles. The week culminates with each dancer recording their own dance music video!

Monroe Dance Company’s kick off to the 2023 dance season! Bootcamp takes the Summer Dance Intensive to the next level focusing more intensely on technique, conditioning, jumps, and turns, plus learning choreography for competition dances in tap, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, and more. Creating confident, strong, proud performers! Ready to TEAR IT UP in 2023!
